MOGmusic Pays Courtesy Call on Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK Ahead of Landmark “Back to Basics” Worship Experience at OVO Arena Wembley
Award-winning Ghanaian gospel minister MOGmusic has paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, ahead of his highly anticipated Back to Basics Worship Experience, scheduled for Saturday, 22 August 2026, at the OVO Arena Wembley in London.
The visit formed part of engagements ahead of what is expected to be a significant moment for Ghanaian gospel music and Christian worship in the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, MOGmusic shared the vision behind Back to Basics — a worship experience centred on drawing believers back to the heart of Christian worship and creating an atmosphere where thousands can gather in one place with a singular focus on Jesus Christ.
The Ghana High Commission expressed its support for the upcoming event, recognising the significance of a Ghanaian gospel minister taking his ministry to one of London’s major entertainment venues and bringing together people from Ghana, the wider African diaspora and Christian communities across the United Kingdom.
For MOGmusic, the courtesy call represented more than an official engagement. It was also an encouraging show of support from Ghana’s diplomatic mission as preparations enter their final days.
A Ghanaian Worship Movement Goes to Wembley
Over the years, MOGmusic has become one of the recognisable voices in contemporary Ghanaian gospel music, building a ministry that has travelled beyond Ghana’s borders.
The London edition of Back to Basics represents another important chapter in that journey. On Saturday, 22 August, worshippers will gather at the OVO Arena Wembley for an evening of worship, prayer and an encounter with God.
