“I Support Diana Hamilton, But Piesie Esther Might Surprise Everyone” – Nii Noi On 2026 TGMA Gospel Artiste of The Year
Popular gospel music promoter and radio presenter Nii Noi has shared his views on the keenly contested Gospel Artiste of the Year category at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), naming artistes he believes stand a strong chance of earning nominations and possibly winning the top prize.
In an interview on Adom TV’s Badwam, Nii Noi commended the consistency and hard work of several gospel musicians over the past year. He mentioned Diana Antwi Hamilton, Piesie Esther, Joe Mettle, Kofi Owusu Peprah, and MOG Music as artistes who have had remarkable years and deserve recognition.
When asked to pick a possible winner, Nii Noi tipped Diana Antwi Hamilton, pointing to her strong work rate and international presence. He noted that she held multiple concerts in Ghana and also performed abroad, including in the UK and Australia. However, he added that Piesie Esther could still cause an upset.

Nii Noi also spoke about songs likely to dominate other gospel categories. For the Traditional Gospel Song of the Year, he mentioned Piesie Esther’s Nyame Aye and MOG Music’s Amen as strong contenders, while noting that songs like Diana Antwi Hamilton’s Me Nyankopɔn Papabi and Joe Mettle’s Nya Gyedi could also receive nominations.
