Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Member of Parliament for Ofoase/Ayirebi, has emphasized the importance of transparency in the upcoming budget presentation by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

He asserts that Ghana’s economic record should be presented accurately, based on data from institutions like the Ghana Statistical Service and the Bank of Ghana, without political bias. Oppong Nkrumah warns against manipulating economic figures for political gain, highlighting that such actions could deter investors and harm the country’s credibility.

Additionally, Oppong Nkrumah has pledged that the Minority in Parliament will thoroughly scrutinize the 2025 budget to ensure it delivers tangible benefits to Ghanaians. He emphasizes Parliament’s role in assessing government commitments and budgets to ensure their effectiveness and sustainability.

Drawing on past experiences and constituent feedback, the Minority aims to support programs that genuinely address the challenges faced by the populace.
