Marriage Isn’t Just About Love Or A Big Wedding, It’s About Responsibility – Archbishop Duncan-Williams
Founder and General Overseer of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has shared important insights on the true meaning of marriage, stressing that it goes beyond love and grand wedding ceremonies.
Speaking in an interview on TV3 with Cookie Tee, the respected clergyman explained that many people misunderstand marriage by focusing only on emotions and outward celebrations, while ignoring the responsibilities that come with the institution.
According to Archbishop Duncan-Williams, love alone is not enough to sustain a marriage. He noted that marriage demands commitment, sacrifice, maturity, and a strong sense of responsibility from both partners.
“What I want people to understand is that marriage is not just about love, but about responsibility,” he stated.
He added that a beautiful wedding or public display of affection does not guarantee a successful marriage. Instead, couples must be prepared to take responsibility for each other emotionally, spiritually, and financially.
