My Lawyer Is Handling It – Bullgod On GH₵10k Legal Cost Shatta Wale Has To Pay

Artiste manager and entertainment pundit Bullgod has revealed that his legal team is actively working to ensure Shatta Wale pays the agreed GH₵10,000 in legal fees following a defamation case.

The issue stems from a 2022 accusation by Shatta Wale, who alleged that Bullgod was involved in the murder of Fennec Okyere, the late manager of Kwaw Kese. In response, Bullgod filed a defamation suit at the Accra High Court, arguing that the claim was damaging and reckless, especially given that the case was still under investigation.

Although the lawsuit sought GH₵1 million in damages, industry interventions led to an out-of-court settlement. As part of the agreement, Shatta Wale was to issue a formal apology and cover Bullgod’s legal fees.

On April 30, 2025—three years later—Shatta Wale publicly apologized to Bullgod.

In an interview with JoyNews on May 2, Bullgod confirmed receipt of the apology and expressed appreciation to his legal team. He emphasized that the legal fees were still pending and clarified the terms of the agreement: “The original suit was a million Ghana cedis. When Shatta’s legal team proposed a settlement, I said I wanted an apology and reimbursement for legal fees. You can’t defame me and expect me to pay my own legal costs. That fee—GH₵100,000—is for my lawyers,” he stated. When asked if the payment had been made, Bullgod replied, “My legal team is working that out. They’re on it, and I’m sure they will sort it out.”
