Former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah, has revealed in court that her house helps allegedly stole a significant amount of money and valuables from her home.
According to her testimony at the Accra High Court, the stolen items included $410,000, €300,000, and GHS 350,000 in cash, alongside jewelry valued at $53,000.
She stated that these amounts had been accumulated over a period of 30 years and held great personal value. Dapaah further explained that in addition to the money and jewelry, other personal items, including her husband’s clothing, were also taken from their residence.
The former minister expressed distress over the theft, emphasizing both the financial and sentimental loss. The case continues as the court examines the evidence presented, with the accused house helps standing trial for their alleged involvement in the theft.
