In the song, Ampong, a known supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), criticized Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Reflecting on his actions, Ampong expressed deep regret and has since released a new song titled “Apology” to convey his remorse. He emphasized that his earlier remarks were misinterpreted and used by others to disparage the former president. Ampong has sought forgiveness from both Mahama and the Ghanaian public, aiming to mend his relationship with those he may have offended.

In a recent interview, Ampong stated, “I want to use this platform to apologize to him that I didn’t mean anything negative when I released my song but people tagged his picture to it to do a lot of things. I am begging him. I did not mean it that way and that some people used it against him. He should forgive me.

Ampong’s apology has garnered mixed reactions from the public, with some questioning the timing and sincerity of his remorse. Nonetheless, he maintains that his apology is heartfelt and aims to promote unity and peace among Ghanaians.
