Nollywood actress Ini Edo has announced the passing of her father, whom she fondly described as her “greatest cheerleader” and “first love.”

In a heartfelt Facebook post, she openly expressed her deep sorrow, stating that the heavens have gained an angel.

“This has been the hardest post to make… I have lost my greatest cheerleader—my beloved father, my first love. The heavens have gained an angel. You will forever remain in my heart. Rest on, King,” she wrote.

Speculation about her father’s passing began three weeks ago when she posted an image of a blazing candle with the cryptic caption, “Where do broken hearts go?” However, she had not confirmed the rumors at the time.

After her confirmation, fans, colleagues, and well-wishers have filled her social media pages with messages of condolence and support during this difficult time.
