Artiste manager Christopher Nelson, chiefly known as Mr. Logic, has confirmed having an intimate relationship with his former signee, Monique Spence, also known as Mo Spence, a Canadian artist.

In recent days, an audio recording has circulated on social media in which Mr. Logic is heard threatening the life of Mo Spence during an altercation.

Red Panther Music, the record label owned by Mr. Logic, has since clarified that the audio is not recent, but rather a conversation recorded by Mo Spence that took place six months ago during a heated disagreement between the two.

The exchange has sparked speculation about a potential affair between Mr. Logic and Mo Spence.

During an interview with Nana Romeo on Class FM on January 20, Mr. Logic openly discussed his intimate relationship with his former artist. He clarified that the audio circulating online was from an argument between them, which was driven by personal issues rather than professional matters and took place six months ago.

Over the past few days, an audio circulated on social media where Mr. Logic is heard threatening the life of Mo Spence during an altercation.

Red Panther Music, the record label belonging to Mr. Logic, further clarified that the audio is not recent but a conversation recorded by Mo Spence that occurred between both six months ago when they had a fierce disagreement.

The banter between both has caused speculations about a possible affair between Mr. Logic and Mo Spence.

In an interview on Class FM with Nana Romeo on January 20, Mr. Logic opened up on his intimate affair with his former artiste, explaining that the audio circulating online is an altercation between them not based on profession but relationship issues that happened six months ago.

“When there’s an issue, the only way to resolve it is to speak the truth. As for me, when there is an issue, I open up on all truth so that in the future, when anybody hears the matter, they can defend me.

“I will not lie. I was working with her, and also, we were dating, although I know it’s not professional, and I will not advise all my fellow artiste managers to do the same.

“When you are working with a female artiste, try as much not to allow her to cause your anger because it will bring you trouble. So yes, there was love between us,” he disclosed.

He added, “The fight wasn’t about work or personal matters; sorry to say, it was about our affair and relationship. I know that admitting this means I’ve confessed to my wife about having an affair.”

What happened?

Monique Spence, a Canadian musician signed to Mr. Logic’s record label in May 2023, accused the artiste manager of defrauding her and threatening her life if she returned to Ghana after traveling to Canada in June last year.

In a video shared on social media, Monique alleged that she was made to cover the production costs, contrary to their original agreement.

These allegations follow claims from Monique Spence that Mr. Logic, who also served as her manager, defrauded her while pretending to support her music career.

Red Panther Music Productions, however, denied the accusations, asserting that the artist had agreed in the contract to cover all service and production costs.

“Monique Spence professionally signed a managerial contract with the label, which stipulates that all service and production costs provided by the label are to be borne by the artist until the contract’s duration concludes,” the statement explained.
