For the first time, actress and host of Onua Showtime, Nana Ama McBrown has responded to claims that her husband, Maxwell Mensah abuses her.

There has been some gossip on social media that McBrown had to travel outside of Ghana to go and do a surgery for her arm after her husband allegedly pushed her down the stairs and she got injured.

It had been alleged that McBrown was not happy in her marriage.

However, during a television discussion programme on Onua Showtime recently, McBrown responded and stated there was no way a woman of her status will accept that.

“Do I look like a lady who would be beaten by her husband? Such a thing (abuse) cannot happen in my house. I’m not a woman who would tolerate being mistreated by my husband,” she said.

She explained that there were many times that she has had calls from family members and loved ones following untrue stories about her..

McBrown recounted how her mother called one time and was very disturbed about such stories posted online.

“I’ve told my mother that until I call her or a family member calls to provide an information, she should ignore everything she hears.

“When she called to enquire about the stories of my husband beating me, I just asked, “does she think a woman like me will allow herself to be beaten by her husband?’”
