My father was absent in my life, when I was growing up but we have reconciled now – Mcbrown
Ghanaian actress and television personality, Nana Ama Mcbrown has opened up about her humble beginnings and her relationship with her father in a recent interview.
McBrown, who is known for her captivating performances on-screen, revealed that she grew up with her mother for a while before later living with her aunt and grandmother. She also disclosed that she did not meet her father until she was older.
“To be honest, I came from zero, I came from grass to grace,” she stated. “I did not have my dad till I grew up but my dad is there. We’ve reconciled and solved that problem. I don’t want to hurt him.”

According to the multi award winning personality she finds time to visit him every two months to gist and interact with her father.
“I visit him every two months and chat with him,” she shared with Berla Mundi and show audience on the Day Show.
Despite her challenging upbringing, McBrown has become one of Ghana’s most successful actresses. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunities that have come her way, saying, “Being a nurse is okay, but I am sure most nurses will love to be in my position or nurse in my hometown, Asuom. I’ll earn a salary, so I won’t change who I am for anything.”
McBrown’s story is one of perseverance and hard work as she has very little education from the formal education sector.
However, she has inspired many with her success in the entertainment industry and her determination to overcome adversity.
