27th TGMA: Obaapa Christy Tells Fans Not To Worry After Missing Nominations
Gospel musician Obaapa Christy remains positive even after missing out on nominations at the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
Speaking to her fans, she asked them not to worry about the situation. She explained that although awards are important, they have never been her main focus.
According to her, her true mission is to touch lives and share the message of God’s love, not to chase worldly recognition.
She encouraged her fans to stay calm, adding that what is meant for someone will come at the right time.
The gospel artiste also expressed gratitude for the strong support she continues to receive from her fans, who stand by her music and ministry.
She assured everyone that she is still committed to her calling using gospel music to inspire, heal, and lead people back to God with messages of hope and salvation. For her, the greatest reward is seeing lives changed through her songs.
Meanwhile, Charterhouse, organizers of the awards, have denied claims of limiting slots for gospel categories, stating that nominations are based strictly on merit and eligibility.
