Speaking candidly at the event, Diana Hopeson shared that she once believed marriage between two Christians would automatically be smooth and filled with joy.

“I thought when two Christians get married, it will be all roses, but I was far from wrong,” she said.

The gospel icon explained that while faith plays an important role in marriage, it does not remove the need for effort, communication, understanding, and personal growth. She noted that many people enter marriage with unrealistic expectations, especially within the Christian community, assuming that shared beliefs alone guarantee a perfect union.
