Ghanaian gospel legend Philipa Baafi has spoken about the possibility of working with secular musicians, explaining that such decisions are guided strictly by God’s leading.

In an interview with Nii Noi on Hitz FM, the award-winning gospel minister said she does not criticize or look down on secular artistes and has no personal reservations about collaborating with them. However, she emphasized that divine approval is the most important factor.

“If God permits it, why not? I’m not here to condemn anyone,” she said, adding that every collaboration—whether with gospel or secular musicians—must align with the spiritual assignment God has given her.

According to Philipa Baafi, her ministry has always been about healing, inspiration, and spreading hope to people from all backgrounds. She believes God can use any platform or individual to reach lives.

The “Go High” singer also noted that she has great respect for secular musicians and acknowledges their contribution to Ghana’s music industry. Nonetheless, she remains committed to protecting the integrity of her calling and staying spiritually discerning in her musical choices.

She concluded by stressing that while she remains open to collaborations, purpose and divine direction will always guide her decisions.
