A Tribute To The Life And Legacy Of Madam Adwoa Tiwaa
The Ghanaian gospel community is mourning the loss of a true icon, Madam Adwoa Tiwaa, popularly known as Maame Tiwaa, who has passed away at the age of 60. As the legendary female lead for Yaw Sarpong and the Asomafo group, her soulful and powerful voice served as a pillar of hope and inspiration for many years.
Through her music, she touched countless lives and helped shape the landscape of Ghanaian gospel music with timeless hits that continue to resonate across generations. Her dedication to her ministry and her unique vocal talent made her one of the most respected figures in the industry.
To celebrate her life and impactful journey, a One Week Observance will be held on Wednesday, 7th January 2026. The event is set to take place at the Bantama Presby School Park from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This gathering will bring together family, friends, fellow musicians, and fans to pay their final respects to a woman who gave so much of herself to the service of God and humanity.
