If God Permits, I Have No Issue Collaborating With Secular Artistes — Philipa Baafi
Ghanaian gospel icon Philipa Baafi has opened up about the possibility of collaborating with secular musicians, revealing that she is guided strictly by God’s direction when it comes to such decisions.
Speaking in an interview with Nii Noi on Hitz FM, the award-winning gospel minister explained that she does not condemn secular artistes and has no personal objections to working with them. What matters most to her, she stressed, is divine approval.

“If God gives me permission, why not? I am not here to condemn anybody,” she stated. According to her, every collaboration—whether gospel or secular—must align with her spiritual mandate and the message God has entrusted to her.
Philipa Baafi noted that her ministry has always focused on inspiring, healing, and bringing hope to people from all walks of life. Therefore, she believes that God can use any platform or vessel to touch lives.

She emphasized that she respects secular musicians and understands the value they bring to Ghana’s music industry. However, she is committed to maintaining the integrity and spiritual responsibility of her calling.
The “Go High” hitmaker added that she remains open-minded but spiritually sensitive about her music decisions, reinforcing that purpose and divine direction will always guide her collaborations.
