I’m A Big Fan Of Black Sherif; His Songs Move Me To Tears — Cecilia Marfo
Ghanaian gospel powerhouse Cecilia Marfo has revealed that among all secular artistes in the country, Black Sherif’s voice is the only one that consistently ministers to her spirit and lifts her mood.
Speaking in an interview with BrytTV, the “Afunumuba” hitmaker explained that a particular song of Black Sherif touches her deeply so much so that it moves her in a way she rarely experiences from non-gospel musicians.

Cecilia Marfo, known for her highly spiritual performances and prophetic style of worship, clarified that she holds no resentment toward secular artistes. In fact, she enjoys music from several mainstream acts including Kwabena Kwabena and Shatta Wale. However, she stressed that Black Sherif stands out on a different level.

According to her, Black Sherif’s lyrical depth, emotional honesty, and spiritual undertones amaze her, especially considering his young age. She described his songwriting as unusually profound and noted that his voice carries a rare authenticity that speaks directly to the soul.
