According to Piesie Esther, the melody and lyrics for “Mo” came to her suddenly while she was in the bathroom, prompting her to quickly record the idea on her phone before it faded.

“I actually wrote ‘Mo’ in the bathroom and recorded it with my phone,” she shared.
Piesie Esther also disclosed that she has never attended any music-writing school, nor does she receive help from anyone when creating her songs. She explained that her songwriting process is entirely natural and unplanned.

“I create my lyrics randomly. There was one time I came up with a line in the bathroom, and I had to record it on my phone,” she added.
Despite the simplicity of her creative process, “Mo” went on to become one of her most impactful songs, touching many hearts across the country. Piesie Esther noted that most of her music begins as spontaneous spiritual moments, and “Mo” was no exception.

The gospel star known for hits like “Waye Me Yie” and “Nyame Ye” encouraged upcoming musicians not to underestimate the power of raw, unplanned inspiration. She emphasized that what truly matters is the message and the anointing behind the music, not the setting in which it is created.
