Gospel musician Ceccy Twum has opened up about her early views on marriage, revealing that she never imagined herself marrying a pastor because she wanted to enjoy her personal freedom.

Speaking in an interview on 3Music TV on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Ceccy Twum shared that while growing up, she had reservations about the lifestyle that comes with being a pastor’s wife, as she believed it would limit her independence.

“Growing up, I didn’t want to marry a pastor because I thought I wouldn’t have the freedom I desired,” she said, laughing. “But God had other plans for me.”

Today, the award-winning gospel artist is happily married to Pastor Alex Twum, with whom she leads a thriving ministry and music career. Reflecting on her journey, Ceccy explained that marrying a man of God has turned out to be one of the greatest blessings in her life.
