I Will Rather Sell Plantain Than Switch To Secular Music – Scott Evans
Ghanaian gospel musician Scott Evans has made a bold declaration about his commitment to the gospel music ministry, stating that he would choose selling plantain over abandoning his calling to pursue secular music.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz Praize Zone on Hitz FM with Nii Noi, Scott Evans emphasized that his dedication to gospel music is deeply rooted in purpose, not convenience or commercial gain.

According to him, no amount of pressure or financial incentive can persuade him to compromise his spiritual mandate.
“I will rather sell plantain than switch to secular music,” he stated firmly.
Scott Evans noted that while secular music may come with broader opportunities and financial rewards, he believes his true fulfillment comes from inspiring others through Christ-centered music.

He explained that gospel musicians often face challenges, including limited support and unrealistic expectations, but these should not push them to abandon their calling.
“For me, it’s not just about music. It’s about ministry and impacting lives. If I leave that for money, then I’ve missed the whole point,” he added.
The Holy Father hitmaker also encouraged fellow gospel artistes to stay true to their purpose, stressing that God rewards consistency and obedience.
