I’ve Known Shatta Wale For Years, We Used To Record Together At Mataheko – Perez Musik
Ghanaian gospel musician Perez Musik has revealed that he shares a long-standing history with dancehall star Shatta Wale, dating back to their early days in music.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio, Perez Musik disclosed that the two artists used to record in the same studio at Mataheko (Zongo Junction) years ago, long before fame found them.

“I knew Shatta Wale from the background. We used to record in the same studios at Mataheko, Zongo Junction, a long time ago,” he recounted.
Perez Musik, known for his hit gospel song Hewale Lala, expressed admiration for Shatta Wale’s journey and hard work, noting that the dancehall artist’s resilience and determination have played a key role in his success.
He also emphasized that every artist’s path to greatness is different, and Shatta Wale’s rise serves as motivation for young musicians still finding their footing in the industry.
