Kenyan pastor and motivational speaker Robert Burale has sparked conversation online after stating that a woman without friends is a “red flag.”

Speaking on a podcast show with stand-up comedian Dr. King’ori, Pastor Burale explained that friendship circles reveal a lot about a person’s character and social balance.

According to him, when a woman has no friends at all, it may indicate deeper personal or emotional issues that could make relationships difficult.

“A woman who does not have friends is a red flag,” Burale said. “You can tell a lot about someone by the kind of people they keep around them. If she doesn’t have anyone she calls a friend, it’s worth paying attention to why.”

He went on to clarify that he was not discouraging women from being private or selective about their circles, but rather emphasizing the importance of healthy social relationships.

Burale’s comments have since generated mixed reactions on social media—while some agreed with his perspective, others argued that solitude does not always indicate a problem, and that some people simply prefer a smaller or more private life.
