Stop Focusing On Properties During Marriage – Agnes Opoku Agyemang Tells Women
Veteran Ghanaian gospel singer Agnes Opoku Agyemang has shared heartfelt advice to women, encouraging them to value genuine love over material possessions when it comes to marriage.
In an interview with ZionFelix, the “Wama Mekra Anigye” hitmaker cautioned women against marrying for wealth or property, noting that such decisions often lead to regret. She urged women to work hard and build their own success instead of depending solely on their husbands.

According to her, many women today end up in conflicts over assets because they forget that they too can achieve financial independence through dedication and effort. She stressed that lasting marriages are built on mutual understanding, honesty, and true affection not money.
Using her parents as an example, Agnes revealed that they have been happily married for more than 65 years, a testament to genuine love and commitment.

She further advised women not to marry out of pity or simply because someone has helped them, explaining that such relationships rarely stand the test of time.

Agnes also encouraged men to be open and transparent with their partners, warning that secrecy and dishonesty can easily destroy trust and peace in a marriage.
