I Owe My Generation A Message – Perez Musik On Why He’s Doing Gospel Music

Award-winning Ghanaian gospel artiste Perez Musik has opened up about his deeper motivation for pursuing gospel music, saying he feels a divine responsibility to impact his generation with meaningful messages.

Speaking in an interview with Franky 5 on Max Morning on Max TV, the “Hewale Lala” hitmaker shared that his decision to focus on gospel music goes beyond fame or recognition it’s about fulfilling a calling to inspire and transform lives through his songs.

“I owe my generation a message,” Perez Musik stated. “God has given me something to say, and I believe I must use my gift to speak to hearts, heal souls, and bring people closer to Him.”

According to him, music is a powerful tool for influence, and gospel musicians have the unique opportunity to shape minds and restore hope in a world that’s losing its moral and spiritual compass.

“For me, gospel music isn’t just about singing in church or winning awards—it’s a ministry. Every lyric I write or sing must carry a message that draws people to God,” he explained.

Perez Musik also emphasized the importance of authenticity in the gospel industry, urging artistes to stay true to their purpose rather than chasing trends.

“I don’t want to just entertain; I want to leave a mark,” he added.
