In a recent interview on the Christians Connect Show with the Shishiishi Man, gospel artist Michael Stuckey praised a unique strength of Ghana’s gospel community their strong sense of unity.

He explained that, unlike in many places where support mainly goes to already well-known artists, Ghana has built a culture where gospel ministers support each other regardless of their level. When one minister hosts a program, others don’t just attend, they actively participate and show their support. Stuckey noted that this level of togetherness is rare, even in countries with vibrant gospel scenes like Nigeria, South Africa, or parts of Europe.

He also highlighted how Ghanaian gospel artists extend this spirit beyond their borders. International gospel ministers who come to Ghana, especially during difficult times, are welcomed with encouragement, opportunities, and love. Sadly, he added, this same kindness is not always shown to Ghanaian artists when they travel abroad making Ghana’s example truly special.

Stuckey’s words were both praise and encouragement: he urged Ghanaians to keep protecting and growing this culture of unity. In a world where competition often takes the spotlight, Ghana’s gospel community reflects what the body of Christ should look like driven by love, strengthened by support, and shining together as a light to the nations.

By staying on this path, Ghana’s gospel community not only uplifts its own but also sets a model for the global church to follow.
