“I Waited Almost 10 Years Before Having Another Child” – Mama Esther

Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician Mama Esther has opened up about a deeply personal chapter in her life, revealing that she waited nearly a decade before conceiving again after the birth of her first child.

Speaking in an interview with DJ Ohemaa Woyeje on Angel FM, Mama Esther shared that the journey was filled with trials, faith, and perseverance. According to her, the long wait tested her emotionally and spiritually, but she held on to her trust in God’s timing.

“I waited for about 10 years before conceiving again. It was not an easy journey, but I kept believing in God. I knew His time is always the best,” she said.

The gospel singer explained that such delays in childbearing often invite societal pressure and judgment, but she chose to focus on her music ministry and faith. “People will always talk, but I reminded myself that no human being has the final say in my life. Only God does,” she added.
