Body-Shaming On Social Media Doesn’t Affect Me; It Makes Me Happy – Selina Boateng
Ghanaian gospel singer Selina Boateng has shared how she deals with constant body-shaming remarks targeted at her on social media.

In an interview with gospel promoter Nii Noi on Hitz FM’s Hitz Praise Zone, the Medofo Pa hitmaker revealed that negative comments no longer affect her. Instead, she has chosen to interpret them positively.

“I’m not bothered at all. In fact, sometimes those comments even make me happier,” she said. “I know God has blessed me with everything a woman should have physically, so I don’t allow anyone’s opinion to disturb my peace.”
In recent months, Selina has been seen working out at the gym, prompting speculation that she was attempting to lose weight. She, however, clarified that her motivation is purely health-driven.

“I don’t go to the gym because I want to slim down. My goal is to stay healthy and maintain my body,” she explained.
Selina Boateng joins a list of Ghanaian celebrities who have endured intense body-shaming online, but her confident response reflects both her faith and self-assurance. She emphasized that her priority remains her wellbeing, not society’s expectations.
