“The Christian life is not just about going to heaven,” he stated. “God saved you for a purpose that begins here and now. Your life on earth matters to Him. How you live, how you love, how you serve — all of it is part of your calling.”

According to the renowned theologian and teacher, Christianity encompasses living out God’s will in daily life impacting society, showing love to others, stewarding resources wisely, and using one’s gifts to bring glory to God. He cautioned against a narrow, escapist view of faith that neglects responsibilities on earth in anticipation of eternity.

Dr. Otabil’s message challenges believers to view their time on earth as an assignment, not a waiting room. He highlighted that scripture calls Christians to be “the light of the world” and “the salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13–16), which implies active engagement in making a difference now.
