The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) is reportedly taking steps to close down the church run by Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Agradaa or Evangelist Mama Pat.

This action is said to be in response to numerous complaints regarding alleged financial misconduct and suspected fraudulent practices at Agradaa’s Heaven Way Champion International Church.

According to The New Republic, EOCO’s involvement stems from a growing number of reports by concerned citizens and former members, who accuse the church of financial mismanagement, fund misappropriation, and deceptive operations disguised as religious activities.

This latest development comes as Agradaa faces multiple legal challenges, the most significant being her recent conviction and sentencing to 15 years in prison with hard labour.
On July 3, 2025, she was found guilty of fraud and charlatanic advertising, concluding a legal battle that began with her arrest on October 9, 2022.
