Highlife Star Dada KD To Be Buried On August 16
Ghanaian highlife legend Dada KD will be buried on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in a state-assisted funeral at the forecourt of the State House in Accra. He will be interred in his hometown, Agona Asaaman in the Central Region, with a thanksgiving service to follow on Sunday, August 17.
The announcement was made during his one-week memorial at the East Legon Executive Club, attended by notable personalities including Kojo Antwi, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, and Nana Romeo.
Mourners are expected to wear black and white to honour his life and contributions to music. Dada KD passed away on May 17, 2025, after a brief illness. His funeral is expected to attract a large crowd of fans, dignitaries, and fellow musicians celebrating his lasting legacy.
