“Your Alawa Is Coming” – Mahama To Nursing Trainees
President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to restoring dignity and stability in the nursing profession, beginning with the timely disbursement of financial support to nursing trainees.
His assurance brings renewed hope to many nursing students who have been waiting for months, as July has now been earmarked as the month for the long-awaited payment.
“I can assure you, your ‘allawa’ is being worked on, and by next month, you’ll start receiving payment,” Mahama said, sparking loud cheers from the audience.
He assured nursing trainees across the country that their allowances—commonly known as ‘allawa’—will begin reflecting in their bank accounts next month.
