I Used To Sell Cassettes For Kwame Despite Back In Secondary School – KOD Shares
Kofi Okyere Darko, popularly known as KOD, has shared insights into his early career, revealing that he sold cassettes and compact discs for Dr. Osei Kwame Despite during his secondary school years. This formative experience occurred at Daddy Lumba’s shop and played a significant role in shaping his future in the media and entertainment industry.

Reflecting on this period, KOD stated, “I used to sell compact discs and cassettes for Despite at Daddy Lumba’s shop. That job during secondary school opened my eyes to the music industry and laid the foundation for my career.”
He made these remarks during the official launch of the Despite Automobile Museum on June 1, 2025, an event attended by notable personalities, including His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
