Chairman Wontumi’s lawyer, Andy Appiah-Kubi, has confirmed that the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has not completed its interrogation of the NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako.
“We have given our statements. They made some allegations against him, and he responded to them,” Appiah-Kubi told journalists. “We haven’t finished with the interrogation, so we will return to continue—hopefully on Wednesday, if his condition improves. Otherwise, he will remain at the hospital until the doctors discharge him, then we will resume the process.”
Appiah-Kubi also addressed a separate legal matter involving a writ of summons filed by Exim Bank against Chairman Wontumi. “We have received a writ of summons from Exim Bank, and we will respond to the pleadings tomorrow. I am very hopeful that we will be able to mount a defence,” he stated.
