Chris Brown Released On £5 Million Bail By London Court
American singer Chris Brown has been granted bail by a London court after being charged in connection with an alleged unprovoked assault at a nightclub in 2023.
The Grammy Award-winning artist, who has not yet entered a plea, is permitted to proceed with his upcoming world tour next month as part of the bail conditions.
Brown was arrested last week and later charged with grievous bodily harm. The charges stem from an incident in which he allegedly struck a music producer with a tequila bottle at Tape nightclub in London’s upscale Mayfair district.
The 36-year-old singer was absent from Southwark Crown Court during Wednesday’s bail hearing, where the judge ordered him to provide a £5 million security payment.

A security fee serves as a financial guarantee to ensure a defendant returns to court; failure to comply with bail conditions could result in the forfeiture of the amount.
Brown had been in custody since his arrest in Salford last Thursday and was initially denied bail during a Friday hearing.
However, on Wednesday, the court granted bail under strict terms — requiring an immediate payment of £4 million, with the remaining £1 million due within seven days.
