I’d Be A Painter If Not A Footballer – Thomas Partey Reveals
Arsenal and Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey recently shared that if he hadn’t pursued a career in football, he might have become a painter. In a quick-fire Q&A session with The Footy Culture, Partey revealed that his father once took him to a painting shop to start training in the craft.
However, he only attended once before dedicating himself entirely to football. Reflecting on his early interest in painting, Partey said, “Maybe I would be a painter. I used to be good at it, but now I don’t know”.
Despite his initial foray into painting, Partey’s commitment to football led him from the local pitches of Ghana to a professional career in Europe. He began with Atlético Madrid before moving to Arsenal in 2020, where he has become a key figure in their midfield.
