You’ll Suffer If You Leave My Church – Bishop Obinim Tells Members

Bishop Daniel Obinim, founder and leader of the International God’s Way Church, has issued a stern warning to his congregation, urging members to avoid seeking spiritual direction or prayers from other churches.

During a sermon on Sunday, April 13, Obinim declared that any devoted member of his church who turns elsewhere for spiritual help will face “spiritual problems” as a consequence. “If a visitor comes and leaves, that’s fine.

But if a committed member goes to another church, there will be a spiritual issue between us,” he cautioned in a widely shared video.

He described such consequences as spiritual assaults and questioned members’ motives, asking if they sought marriage, money, or healing. Obinim clarified that only in medical emergencies should members seek help outside the church. The controversial pastor’s remarks have since sparked mixed reactions across the country.
