According to the respected theologian and pastor, the Christian faith cannot exist apart from the Word of God. He stressed that the scriptures form the foundation upon which every aspect of the believer’s life and walk with God must be built.

“Without the Word of God, there is no Christian life,” Dr. Otabil declared.

He explained that Christianity is not sustained by traditions, emotions, or mere rituals but by a consistent engagement with scripture. It is through God’s Word that believers come to understand His will, grow in faith, and live transformed lives.

Dr. Otabil further emphasized that neglecting the Word weakens spiritual growth and leaves Christians vulnerable to deception and discouragement. Instead, he called on believers to immerse themselves in scripture daily, meditate on it, and allow it to shape their values, decisions, and conduct.

The message echoes biblical passages such as Matthew 4:4, which says, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

With this exhortation, Dr. Otabil reminds the global church that the Word of God is not optional—it is essential. For him, true Christianity is impossible without it.
