Gospel music legend Esther Smith has modestly revealed that, despite her many hit songs, she does not see herself as the “greatest” or the “Queen of Gospel music.”

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme on Thursday, she explained:

“When you start calling yourself the queen or the greatest, it attracts envy and jealousy. I prefer to stay in my lane, do what I love, and continue blessing others through my music.”

When the host suggested she could rightfully consider herself the best in gospel, Esther Smith humbly replied:

“There are others who have done more than I have, and I’m not worried about that. I have many songs, and I am always willing to support others.”

She added that she will continue singing because her music has touched and blessed countless lives, but emphasized:

“I cannot claim to be better than every other gospel artiste in Ghana.”
