We Don’t Build A Church By Talking About Somebody – Dag Heward-Mills
Renowned Ghanaian pastor and founder of the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC), Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, has cautioned believers and church leaders against gossip and criticism within the body of Christ.
In a video seen by Hypes Media on TikTok, the respected preacher was addressing his congregation during a Sunday service when he emphasized that the growth of a church does not come from speaking ill of others but from genuine love, unity, and service to God.

According to Bishop Heward-Mills, many Christians waste valuable time discussing other people’s flaws instead of focusing on prayer, evangelism, and soul-winning — the true pillars of church growth.
“We don’t build a church by talking about somebody,” he stated firmly. “You can’t make progress in ministry or in life by tearing others down. The church grows when we love one another and work together for God’s purpose.”

He urged his members and fellow ministers to cultivate humility, avoid division, and concentrate on spreading the message of Christ, noting that a church filled with gossip cannot experience genuine spiritual growth.
Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, who has led one of Ghana’s largest Christian movements for decades, continues to inspire believers across the world with teachings on faith, leadership, and the importance of unity in ministry.
