Adorye emphasized that Agyapong intends to appeal the verdict, suggesting that the legal process is ongoing and the current ruling may be subject to change.

This development follows a previous legal encounter in Ghana, where Anas Aremeyaw Anas filed a defamation suit against Agyapong but was unsuccessful. The Accra High Court ruled against Anas, with the presiding judge describing his investigative methods as “investigative terrorism” rather than legitimate journalism.

The contrasting outcomes in Ghana and the U.S. highlight the complexities of international legal proceedings and the varying interpretations of defamation across jurisdictions. As the appeal process unfolds, the final resolution of this case remains pending.
