Tic Tac Hosts Ghana Independence Day Party In Nigeria

Ghanaian hiplife pioneer Tic Tac, known privately as Nana Kweku Okyere Duah, is set to bring the Ghana Independence Day Party to Lagos, Nigeria, on March 8, 2025.

The event, happening at Lounge 38 in Lagos, will feature performances from Ghanaian artists such as Nero X, Samuel G, and 1st Born, promising an unforgettable celebration.

Ghana’s DJ Toyor and Nigeria’s legendary DJ Humility will take charge of the turntables, ensuring an electrifying experience for patrons.

TiC revealed that the event, envisioned as an annual tradition, aims to strengthen Ghana-Nigeria bilateral relations through music.

TiC shared that he had envisioned this initiative years ago, recognizing the need for such events to strengthen the mutual relationship between Ghana and Nigeria.

He stated, “Think about it; despite the conversations in Ghana about supporting Nigerian music without equal reciprocity, we haven’t made a strong effort to push our boundaries by hosting Independence Day events there.”

According to him, Nigerians appreciate Ghanaian music, but it is up to Ghanaians to actively promote their music in the Nigerian market—this event being one of those efforts.

“Just consider the number of Ghanaians living in Nigeria and the many Nigerians who love our music,” he remarked.

“Now, the stage is set for a new dawn, and I have set the ball rolling,” TiC declared.

He encouraged other industry stakeholders to join the movement, emphasizing that this initiative could create a lasting impact and open more doors for Ghanaian music in Nigeria.

Over the years, TiC has proudly represented Ghana on the international stage, using his music to make a strong statement beyond the country’s borders.
