Gospel musician and prophetess Cecilia Marfo has opened up about the spiritual source behind the tongues she speaks in her songs, saying they are not generated by her own will but inspired directly by God.

In an interview on Bryt TV, the “Afunumba” hitmaker explained that the prayerful tongues her listeners often hear in her music are spiritually influenced and not something she consciously creates. According to her, the utterances emerge from divine strength and the presence of the Holy Spirit that takes over when she ministers.

“The tongues in my songs are not spoken by me. They come from God. It is the strength and power He gives me that makes them flow,” she said.

Cecilia Marfo emphasized that her ministry goes beyond mere vocal performance. She noted that whenever she enters a worship atmosphere, she yields completely to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to move through her without restriction.

She added that many people misunderstand her style of worship, but for her, speaking in tongues is a spiritual language meant to uplift, heal, and connect listeners to God’s presence.

The celebrated gospel minister, known for her powerful worship sessions and prophetic declarations, encouraged Christians to remain open to the workings of the Holy Spirit, especially in moments of intense worship.
