State Funeral For Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings Set For November 28
The government has confirmed that a state funeral for the late former First Lady, Mrs. Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra.

The event, hosted under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, will pay tribute to Mrs. Rawlings for her remarkable advocacy for women and children, as well as her unwavering service to national development.

In a statement released on Thursday, November 6, Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu noted that the funeral will honour her lifelong commitment to public service and gender empowerment.

Mrs. Rawlings, founder of the 31st December Women’s Movement and former First Lady, passed away on October 23, 2025.
Her family has opened an invitation to the public to share tributes in her memory.
