Send The Military To Galamsey Sites For Six Months, And Illegal Mining Will End — Rev. Dr. Steve Mensah To Gov’t
In a recent video shared on his Instagram page, Rev. Dr. Steve Mensah called on the government to take decisive action against illegal mining activities, popularly known as “galamsey.”
According to Rev. Dr. Mensah, sending the military to galamsey sites for a period of six months would effectively put an end to the destructive practice. He emphasized that the continued illegal mining is not only harming the environment but also posing serious risks to communities living near mining sites.
“This is a challenge that requires strong and immediate action,” he said. “Deploying the military for a fixed period will ensure that illegal mining activities are completely stopped and our lands protected for future generations.”
Rev. Dr. Mensah’s message comes amid growing concerns over the environmental and social impact of galamsey across the country. He urged the government to act swiftly before the situation worsens.
