Ghanaian musician Samini has collaborated with the renowned Soweto Gospel Choir on a new single titled “Chaana,” which means “shine” in his native Waala language.
The song blends Samini’s signature dancehall style with traditional African elements, delivering a message of resilience, hope, and cultural pride.
The accompanying music video, directed by Yaw Skyface, was shot in South Africa and visually captures the song’s essence by showcasing breathtaking landscapes and symbolic imagery that reinforce the theme of African excellence.
“Chaana” is the lead single from Samini’s upcoming eighth studio album, “Origin8a,” scheduled for release later this year. The collaboration with the three-time Grammy-winning Soweto Gospel Choir add a rich, harmonious layer to the track, enhancing its uplifting and inspirational qualities.
