Right After Mentor, I Never Had To Pick Trotro Again – Mavis Asante
Ghanaian gospel singer Mavis Asante has opened up about her lifestyle and rise to fame, emphasizing that she has never felt pressured to live a fake life to impress the public.
Speaking in an interview with Roselyn Felli on Joy Prime, Mavis shared that her life changed significantly after participating in the TV3 music reality show Mentor. According to her, the transformation was so drastic that she never had to rely on trotro again.

“I don’t live a fake life to impress anyone. I’m real,” she stated, stressing that authenticity has always guided her journey in the gospel industry.
Mavis explained that immediately after Mentor, opportunities began to open for her, elevating her lifestyle and making public transport a thing of the past. She, however, made it clear that her improved circumstances were not a result of pretence or unnecessary show-off.
