“There’s a task force to investigate what has happened,” Muslim said. “Clear and consistent communication will help ease the burden many Ghanaians feel. We will keep the public informed as developments unfold.”

She also noted that the Presidential Planning Committee is working closely with the families of the deceased to coordinate memorials and funerals in line with national mourning protocols.

In honour of the lives lost, President John Dramani Mahama has declared three days of national mourning. During this period, all national flags will be flown at half-mast, and the President has suspended his official engagements for the rest of the week.

Describing the late ministers as trusted allies of the President and dedicated public servants, Muslim said their passing had left a deep emotional impact. “These were individuals who pursued excellence from their student days and rose to international prominence through hard work and service.”

The creation of the task force comes amid growing public demand for answers surrounding the circumstances of the crash.
