Pray For Ghana’s Development And There Would Be No Need To Travel Abroad – Cecilia Marfo
Gospel musician Cecilia Marfo has called on Ghanaians to prioritize prayer for the country’s growth, stressing that national progress would reduce the desire to seek opportunities abroad.

Speaking at a wreath-laying ceremony held at the Ceremonial Garden of the Jubilee House in Accra on Thursday, August 7, 2025, the gospel singer encouraged citizens to channel their energy into interceding for Ghana’s transformation.
“Pray for Ghana’s development and there would be no need to travel abroad,” she said, noting that with unity, faith, and commitment, the nation has the potential to provide for its people.

Her remarks come at a time when many young Ghanaians continue to pursue greener pastures overseas, often citing limited opportunities at home. Cecilia Marfo emphasized that a spiritually renewed and developed Ghana would create an environment where its citizens can thrive without feeling compelled to leave.
The gospel artiste, known for her powerful worship songs and prophetic ministry, has consistently used her platform to speak on issues of faith, morality, and national unity. Her latest appeal adds to ongoing conversations about patriotism, development, and the role of citizens in shaping Ghana’s future.
