Police Arrest Two In Kete-Krachi Over Suspected Indian Hemp
The Anti-Robbery Unit of the Kete-Krachi Divisional Police Command has arrested two individuals John Dzeble, 34, and Adzobi Mesiwotso, 24 for possession of substances believed to be Indian hemp.

In a statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) John Nchor, Public Affairs Officer for the Oti Regional Command, the arrests were made during an intelligence-led operation on Sunday, June 15. The suspects were intercepted while travelling in an Opel Astra with registration number GT 6430-13. The vehicle was being driven by John Dzeble, with Mesiwotso as a passenger.

Upon conducting a thorough search of the car, police officers discovered 86 compressed parcels of suspected Indian hemp. The parcels were carefully hidden in various parts of the vehicle, including the engine compartment, doors, and boot. Officers also recovered a portable digital scale and a roll of masking tape, both believed to have been used in packaging the illicit substances.

The suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
The Oti Regional Police Command has commended the swift and professional actions of the officers involved and reiterated its commitment to fighting drug trafficking and associated criminal activities in the region.
