Confirming the development at a press briefing in Ho on Tuesday, May 13, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Felix Danku, spokesperson for the Volta Regional Police Public Affairs Unit, said the incident occurred on April 28 around 6:15 p.m.
According to DSP Danku, 37-year-old mobile money vendor Christopher Ahordo was attacked by five armed men at Gbagblakope, near the Diamond Cement factory. The assailants shot Ahordo on the spot and fled with a bag believed to contain a significant amount of money.
The four suspects are currently in custody and assisting with investigations. Police say preparations are underway to arraign them before the court, while efforts to track down the remaining suspect continue.
